Studio Voyage

the story

Built inside tourism.

Before Studio Voyage built for travel operators, Henri spent years guiding guests, growing an outdoor company and learning tourism inside his family's activity businesses.

The arc

Henri grew up in Mauritius in a family of tourism operators. His father ran an undersea-walking business, and his brothers operated scuba-diving centres. He began working alongside them as a teenager. This was where he learned the ropes of tourism, from welcoming guests and coordinating teams to selling an experience and delivering it well.

In 2014, Henri partnered with Yan de Maroussem, who was then working as a hiking guide. Henri became the third guide to lead guests on Le Morne Brabant. Alongside guiding, he put much of his energy into the digital platforms, commercial agreements and operating structure needed to take the activity further.

The business grew quickly. Today, Yanature has a team of twenty, operates more than twenty different activities each week and has built an online community of more than sixty thousand people. It has grown steadily since its early years and is now one of Mauritius's established outdoor tourism operators.

The visibility created through that work also helped bring hiking and outdoor experiences into the way more travellers discover Mauritius online. Henri does not claim to have created that movement alone. He is proud to have contributed to it.

Studio Voyage carries that experience forward. Henri and Victoria work with travel businesses with an operator's understanding of guests, distribution, bookings, operations and growth. The studio builds the systems they wish every tourism business could rely on.
